PTA President’s Letter

August 14, 2019

Dear Brywood Families,

Welcome back to all returning families and a big WELCOME to all new families.  We are very excited for the new school year and encourage your involvement with Brywood Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  Founded in 1986, the Brywood PTA is a volunteer organization of parents that supports the education of all children at Brywood Elementary.

Today, California educational funding levels ranks 46th in the United States and our district is one of the lowest funded in the state. To keep our school and student programs competitive, Brywood PTA steps in to help provide necessary resources for our students. However, what really set Brywood apart are the EXTRAS. Brywood PTA provides EXTRA programs and materials not provided by the state or district to give our kids that “extra” boost to enrich their learning opportunities and experience at Brywood.

Some of the EXTRAS that Brywood PTA provides include instructional materials, classroom supplies, educational technology, books and media for our library, educational assemblies and programs, character and community building activities, and much, much more.

Without your financial help and participation, these programs just cannot occur, and Brywood Elementary would not be the school that it is today. As we launch the new school year back home at our renovated site, please review this packet and see how you can help the PTA and help make a difference in the lives of all our children.

Thank you for your support and Welcome Back!

With Warmest Regards,
